Laying the F

Reviving the F

As part of our reunion gift, we have restored the F and placed it in a position of honor on the new campus.

Our engineer-in-charge for this task was Randy Carmichael, randy@randcarmichael.com. Randy worked with the students and art faculty at Franklin, as well as retired professional landscape architects/site planners who are friends of his, to develop a long term installation for the "F". The "F" shape was retained, as it had already been introduced as the new font for the school logo. The school has repaired the "F", and our gift is underwriting the expense. The restored "F" will be dedicated in its permanent place of honor at a ceremony on Friday October 24th.

As of May 2014, the F has been repaired. Next steps are painting and installation.
